Hello! I specialize in front-end development because someone has to turn caffeine into code and make sure the buttons don’t run away from the user! I’m passionate about crafting clean, user-friendly interfaces and debugging with a mix of logic and sheer determination.
Tribute Project:
The tribute project involved replicating a pre-designed webpage using Visual Studio Code, HTML5, and CSS3. The goal was to build a visually accurate tribute page, focusing on semantic elements and clean coding practices.
Understanding the purpose of each semantic element and how to organize them logically was initially challenging but rewarding.
The tribute project not only improved my HTML5 and CSS3 skills but also strengthened my understanding of semantic elements and accessibility principles. It gave me valuable hands-on experience in replicating real-world designs and solving challenges in front-end development.
Client Blog:
The “All Paws” project aimed to create a visually appealing and user-friendly website for an e-commerce client specializing in pet products. Built using Visual Studio Code, HTML, and CSS, the project focused on showcasing a wide range of pet items, improving user experience, and establishing a professional online presence for the client.
The goals of the project are to clearly showcase various pet products with detailed descriptions; establish a professional, warm, and engaging site to attract pet lovers; and provide an inclusive design, ensuring usability for all customers, including those with disabilities.
The project used a combination of Flexbox and percentage-based widths to maintain alignment and scaling. It optimized images with Affinity and minimized CSS file size to reduce page load time.
The “All Paws” project was a rewarding experience, enhancing my skills in front-end development and design. It provided insights into creating professional e-commerce platforms, structuring semantic HTML, and optimizing for accessibility. The final product was a visually engaging, user-friendly website that effectively represented the client’s brand and met their business goals.
Sprinkles – UX Project:
My team of five collaborated on a UX project to improve the online shopping experience for a cupcake retailer. The goal was to create a seamless, user-friendly, and visually engaging platform, ensuring customers could easily browse, customize, and order cupcakes.
The project followed a structured UX design process, incorporating research, iterative design, and user feedback. We utilized tools such as Figma for prototyping, Canva for presentation, and Affinity for graphic enhancements.
The project resulted in that customers could easily navigate, customize orders, and complete purchases, significantly enhancing user satisfaction. This end-to-end UX process taught us the importance of iterative design, clear communication, and leveraging the right tools to deliver a polished product.
Olivia’s Website:
The Team Website project aimed to design and build a clean, functional, and visually cohesive multi-section website. Key sections included a header, navigation, container, sidebar, footer, and a prominent call-to-action (CTA) with the use of Visual Stuodio Code, html, and CSS3.
Fresh Eats:
The Fresheats project aimed to design and build a visually appealing, user-friendly website for an online meal ordering platform. It catered to users seeking convenient meal options with clear navigation, modern aesthetics, and responsive functionality. The project combined Visual Studio Code for coding, HTML5 and CSS3 for development, and Figma for prototyping and design.
Grid layout displays meal options with images, names, prices, and a short description. The project resulted in a sleek, functional online meal ordering website that provided an engaging user experience. It showcased modern web design techniques, efficient coding practices, and collaboration between design and development. This project strengthened my skills in translating UI/UX designs into fully functional websites while prioritizing responsiveness and usability.
